In this prestigious, new build near Helford, the owner had their own design ideas and JR Interiors helped them achieve their goals with beautifully designed and hand made soft furnishings to compliment the use of natural materials and neutral colours. Most of the rooms are decorated in neutral colours with simple wood panelled walls and soft linen fabrics. The master bedroom has roman blinds in a beautiful, embroidered linen and interlined curtains in a plain, neutral shade and double pleat heading. The chunky, distressed oak curtain poles give the room a very calm, relaxing look. A little splash of colour in some of the rooms adds a very homely feel to the scheme. Cool blue in the first floor lounge, burnt orange in the downstairs w.c and a little splash of yellow in the curtain over the cloakroom doorway - all help to create a sophisticated design without interupting the flow of calm throughout the house.

Barn Conversion Helford

This tasteful, barn conversion is one of three apartments which form part of a new holiday rental complex.

Beautifully converted and finished to a very high standard, the barns have lots of traditional features such as log burners and exposed beams.

A light-weight linen, in a soft green colour was used for the roman blinds and curtains in the barn and the stylish furniture and artwork give a very open plan feel to the rooms.

Amelies Restaraunt Portleven

Amelies restaurant in Porthleven was a challenging project, the owner was just starting up the business so the budget was tiny.

We managed to achieve a modern, cheerful design with hints of coastal influences, without blowing the budget...

The flooring is a contract grade vinyl that looks for all the world like driftwood, yet is very tough and durable. Natural fabrics such as leather and chunky wood are mixed with modern, plastic moulded chairs and the beautiful, sea greens and turquoise fabrics give a very relaxed feel to the room. In the high roof space we have suspended boat sails and little fairy lights which come on at night to the delight of customers.

The simple yet striking schemes, shows what can be achieved with very little expenditure.
